As the summer months quickly approach, there's no better time to start preparing yourself to hit the beach. And what better way to give you the kick start you need, than joining our Beach Body Challenge? Last summer saw our clients achieve some fantastic results with our monthly intensive program of 5 classes a week. 

With our intensive monthly program you will:

What’s the plan?

Five classes a week for one month! By increasing your sessions per week, you will maximise your fitness, strength and ability as well as losing weight, inches and toning up. We  also encourage you to eat clean throughout your month, for maximum results. To motivate your healthy eating, head over to our Facebook page for daily inspiration. 
 
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO START OUR BEACH BODY CHALLENGE AT ANY POINT FROM THE 16TH OF MAY UNTIL THE END OF MID JULY. YOUR MONTH WILL START FROM THE DATE OF YOUR FIRST CLASS.


PRICING

£220 for 20 classes. Your month will start from the day of your first class and will expire one month exactly from that date. You can buy the Beach Body Challenge from the 16th May up until mid July. 

What if I already have classes on my account?

For those of you already on monthly passes or memberships, fear not, you can still join in!  Simply request top up classes at just £11 each.

7 Day Challenge - the rules

Your 7 Day Challenge can be completed any time between Monday 22nd February and 20th March. 
- You can buy your 7 Day Challenge package online now and book your classes in advance, which we highly recommend you do as soon as you buy your package to secure the classes you want. 
- Your challenge will start from the day of your first class.
- Due to limited spaces in classes, you will have 9 days to complete your challenge, but we encourage you to try and complete the challenge in 7 days if possible. 
- You must have completed your last class by Sunday 20th of March, otherwise all remaining classes on your package will expire. 
- You must be used to our classes in order to participate in this challenge, therefore it is not recommend for beginners.  
- As we anticipate that classes will be fairly busy during this period, please be considerate of this fact and try to avoid late cancelling your classes unless really necessary.

Please note: If needed, we will be adding more classes to the schedule where possible. However, due to trainer availability, we are not able to offer more weekend classes.

If you've not checked out her Thursday Evening class yet, Laura our new trainer has been getting some hit reviews! Laura trained with us last year and is a regular Mat-work teacher at Breeze. Her 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm classes on Thursday evenings are proving to be very popular so far. Why not book in to find out for yourselves?

The Benefits of HIIT Pilates

Not sure what HIIT Pilates is? 

A combination of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Reformer Pilates. HITT means performing short bursts of intense activity which effectively work the entire body (off the reformer). The combination of switching from HIIT to Low intensity (more controlled movements on the reformer) makes for a dynamic workout that will have you breaking a good sweat and working the body to its maximum potential! 

What are the benefits?

It's efficient HIIT exercises can achieve great results in a short space of time. So if you are looking for quick results, our HITT Pilates class is one of the most effective classes you can do. 

You’ll burn more FAT Not only will you burn calories, but the effect of intense exercise will kick your body’s repair cycle into hyperdrive, meaning you will burn more fat and calories after your workout than you would doing something like steady cardio. 

You’ll build a heathy heart HIIT will push you into your anaerobic zone (that point where you feel that your heart is about to jump out of your chest!) which means that you are exercising your heart to make it healthier. 

You’ll lose weight not muscle Most dieters will know that it’s not hard to lose muscle as well as fat. That goes for steady cardio too like running (that’s why runners usually have flat bottoms). Studies show that HIIT allows you to preserve muscle and ensures weight loss comes from fat storage. Yipee!

You’ll build your metabolism HIIT stimulates human growth hormone (HGH) by up to 450% which is responsible for increasing your metabolism and slowing down the ageing process. So you will look and feel younger too!

Brand New Specialised Classes Starting Soon!

Pregnancy Reformer Pilates and Mum and Baby Reformer Pilates 

We are pleased to announce that we will be starting our first Pregnancy Reformer Pilates class with Kirsty Ellen McGill, who is specially trained in this field. Classes will be open to all pregnant ladies, whether beginner or more advanced and will help to keep you toned, fit and feeling healthy and relaxed throughout your pregnancy. 
In addition to this we will also be starting our Mum and Baby class to help you get back into shape in a safe effective way after baby is born. And to make your life easier (so that you don't have to find a baby sitter!) you can bring baby with you! Pop baby in his/her carrier next to your reformer whilst you work out. 
With a maximum of six people per class you can rest assured that you will be getting plenty of individual attention to make sure that you are doing things correctly. 
We will be running these classes as a six week course on Wednesdays or Thursdays (TBC) at 11.30 am starting from the end of November, depending if we can get groups together in time. Back 2 Basics Reformer Pilates 

We have had a fair amount of interest about putting on a slower reformer class - less 'power' and more 'Classical' Reformer Pilates' 
So if you've tried our Beginners Class and found that it moves a little too quickly for you, or if you know someone who might benefit from working at a slower pace, then this is the class for you. 
With a maximum of six people per class, you can rest assured that you will be getting plenty of individual attention to make sure that you are doing things correctly.

Whilst we’re all eagerly awaiting more of the glorious sunshine, the thought of baring more flesh, may be filling some of us with dread! And not surprisingly, we’ve been wrapped up all winter, able to hide a multitude of sins. Well, if you’re feeling a little unmotivated about donning your beach wear this summer, or if you have a special event to attend that you absolutely must look fabulous for, then our Beach Body Challenge could be the answer to all your body dilemmas.
With our intensive monthly programme you will:
-          Get fitter

What’s the plan?
Five classes a week plus a healthy eating guide which will teach you about the right foods to eat and how to cook them. Our plan includes three healthy, tasty, satisfying meals a day, with a seven day recipe guide to give you inspiration for the whole month. No shakes, no ready meals and certainly no starvation involved!
Like any intensive weigh loss/fitness month, we can’t promise that it will be easy (although we hope that you’ll enjoy it!) but we can promise that you will see results and learn new healthy habits to keep for life.
 

You can choose to start our Beach Body Challenge at any point from the 1st of May until the end of June. Your month will start from the date of your first class.


What support will I receive?
We understand that there will be times when you need support and encouragement and that you may have questions to ask. Which is why have set up our Beach Body Challenge Facebook group, where you will be able to ask questions, support each other, share ideas, recipes and get lots of daily motivation to keep you going! Whilst just doing the classes alone will absolutely make huge changes to your body, fitness and strength, we cannot stress enough how important combining the healthy eating programme is too if you are actually looking to lose weight and want to see the best results possible.

 

Summer Body Bootcamp

As the first signs of spring approach, no doubt you're eagerly awaiting the sunshine and a chance to don your summer wardrobe! But perhaps the thought of baring all in a bikini, is a slightly more daunting thought. Allowing yourself enough time to lose unwanted pounds and tone up is the healthiest and most sensible way to achieve your desired beach body. So, with that said, now is the time to get started! 
 
This week I visited Ice Clinic in Beckenham for their signature Body Blitzing Bootcamp package: the perfect accompaniment to your Power Pilates classes. The hour and a half treatment starts with an overall dry body brush, highly recommended to aid the breakdown of cellulite. (You can even do this yourself at home before bathing.)
 
Next up is a session of Lipotripsy: a specialised machine that penetrates radical waves through the skin, stimulating fat breakdown, collagen synthesis and lymphatic drainage. Sounds good hey? Cellulite, being a particularly stubborn fat, needs to be broken down and flushed through the system. One of the most effective ways of doing this is by stimulating affected areas. Lipotripsy provides improvement of blood flow to the skin, which aids the breakdown process. And apparently a course of 8-10 of these treatments can greatly improve the appearance of cellulite. If used in conjunction with effective exercise (yep, that's where we come in!) a healthy diet and plenty of water, then the results can be even better. The treatment itself is pain free and pretty relaxing really. 
 
The part I was most looking forward to however, was my Shrinking Violet wrap....First of all I was smothered with a special detoxifying gel and then literally wrapped in cling film! I was then laid back down, covered in a sliver foil and a blanket, where I was left to relax for 45 minutes. Yes, I did feel a bit like a Christmas Turkey pre roasting, but comical aspect set aside, it wasn't long before I drifted off to sleep in my warm cocoon...
 
After, being unwrapped (well, actually I was cut out of the cling film) I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had lost about a centimetre from each leg and also my waist, after just one session.
